Job Description As an expert in HIV Prevention market access, the Senior FRM – HIV Prevention will manage payer policies and acquisition pathways, proactively addressing coverage and reimbursement challenges to ensure timely treatment access. The role involves collaboration with Therapeutic Specialists (Sales), Marketing, Account Management, and Patient Support to align access strategies, and problem‑solving across multiple projects to improve workflows and support patients.
This is a field‑based role supporting the Virginia and Raleigh, NC area. Candidates must be able to travel 50% of the time with overnight stays and reside within 10 miles of their region’s borders.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage business relationships with key office staff at accounts, including providers and specialty pharmacies, to facilitate patient access to Gilead’s products.
Serve as a local access and reimbursement expert, providing strategic education and support to internal and external stakeholders for successful access outcomes.
Assist the patient support program team in enhancing processes such as benefit verification and prior‑authorization education to expedite patient treatment initiation.
Oversee enrollment processes for providers in Gilead patient support programs and resolve complex patient access questions in a timely manner.
Communicate changes in formulary or reimbursement processes to ensure accounts receive timely support.
Create instructional resources that help providers and staff understand best practices in reimbursement processes.
Coordinate with the Gilead HUB to enhance communication between FRMs and case managers for efficient account support.
Identify bottlenecks in the prescription journey and use technology tools to respond promptly to high‑need cases.
Demonstrate openness, flexibility, and cultural awareness to adapt to diverse environments and practices.
Embark on a collaborative approach to ensure individual patient access and positive outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and eight years’ experience OR; Master’s Degree and six years’ experience OR; Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS/RN with 8+ years of experience on a field reimbursement team.
MA/MS/PharmD with 6+ years of experience on a field reimbursement team.
Prior leadership experience.
Deep understanding of payer, provider, and pharma reimbursement relationships.
Experience engaging with and managing large, complex provider accounts.
Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, specialty payer landscape, and reimbursement pathways (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
Understanding of local and state policy changes on reimbursement.
Experience with specialty pharmacies and HUB services.
Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions.
Travel Field‑based role requiring in‑person meetings with key stakeholders; travel 50% of the time with overnights.
Compensation Salary range: $153,935.00 – $199,210.00. Base compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and geography. May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, stock‑based incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
