Safety Program Leadership //

Oversee the development and execution of safety policies and initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Driver Coaching & Training //

Lead driver onboarding, training, and continuous education programs covering topics such as load securement, hours-of-service, and accident prevention. Compliance Oversight //

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards; oversee audits, inspections, and documentation. Incident Investigation //

Lead investigations of accidents, injuries, and violations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Performance Monitoring //

Track and analyze safety metrics, trends, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaboration & Communication //

Partner with operations, maintenance, and human resources teams to align safety objectives with business goals. Continuous Improvement //

Recommend and implement strategies, tools, and technology to enhance fleet safety and reduce incidents. Your Skillset

Regulatory Expertise //

Deep understanding of FMCSA and DOT safety regulations, including flatbed-specific load securement standards. Training Development //

Skilled in creating effective training programs that engage drivers and enhance knowledge retention. Analytical Thinking //

Adept at interpreting data and reports to make informed safety and compliance decisions. Communication //

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach, present, and influence employees at all levels. Leadership //

Proven ability to lead safety initiatives, instill accountability, and foster a culture of safety awareness. Problem Solving //

Strong ability to assess complex situations and respond with sound, practical solutions. Technology Proficiency //

Familiarity with safety management systems, telematics, and data analytics tools. Minimum Qualifications

A(n) Bachelor's degree in safety management, transportation, or a related field, and at least three (3) years of experience in transportation safety, preferably within flatbed or specialized trucking. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered. Regulatory Knowledge //

Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Training Experience //

Demonstrated experience leading safety training or compliance programs. Preferred Qualifications

Certification //

Certified Director of Safety (CDS), Certified Fleet Safety Supervisor (CFSS), or related professional certification. Experience //

Five (5) or more years of experience in a transportation safety management role, with flatbed or heavy haul experience strongly preferred. Data Management //

Experience managing telematics, driver scorecards, and other data-driven safety programs. Performance Improvement //

Proven track record of reducing incident frequency and improving fleet compliance scores. Salary and Schedule
