Hospice Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) - Home Care (Part-time, Day Shift) Job Summary:

Hospice of Lenawee, a 5-STAR Medicare.gov rated hospice, is seeking a two (2) compassionate Hospice Aides (Certified Nursing Assistants) team members for part-time day shift positions on our Home Care Team. These team members support the mission of Hospice of Lenawee by providing and assisting with personal care and/or selected housekeeping services in order to meet the needs of the Hospice patient. The Hospice Aide duties for patient care shall be based upon written instruction prepared by the RN.

Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (some flexibility) Three (3) 8-hour days per week (Monday - Friday) Every 8th weekend On-call Rotation and a holiday rotation Requirements

Hospice Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) - Home Care (Part-time, Day Shift) Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent Completion of a home health aide training program Valid driver license and vehicle available with current auto insurance Current Michigan CNA license Experience with dying patients and their families, hospice experience preferred Experience in health care, required Hospice Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) - Home Care (Part-time, Day Shift) Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient personal care which includes: bath/shower, shampoo, shave, oral, skin and foot care and other personal care needs specified on Hospice Aide Care Plan Responsible for brief changes, bedpan, urinals, colostomy care, catheter care, and repositioning Responsible for light housekeeping services such as linen changes, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and removal of trash Assists patients at mealtime, which may include meal preparation, feeding, and clean up Assists patients with simple exercises, passive and active range of motion, and ambulation as directed Observes patient's physical/emotional condition and reports observations and changes to RN Case Manager Completes mandatory training and attends staff meetings and in-services as required. Hospice Aides are required to attend 12 hours (minimum) of in-service education each calendar year
