Position Overview MHHC is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to join our expanding Pediatric Department. The selected provider will deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care to children and adolescents, and play a vital role in MHHC’s mission to advance preventive health, early intervention, and continuity of care for families across the Bronx and Brooklyn. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values collaboration, innovation, and community impact. You will work in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment that includes Family Medicine, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, Dental, and Nutrition Services all integrated under the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.

Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well-child exams, immunizations, developmental screenings, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Educate parents and caregivers on growth milestones, nutrition, preventive health, and behavioral development. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including nursing, care coordination, behavioral health, and social services, to support holistic family care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with HRSA, NCQA, and Joint Commission standards. Contribute to population health strategies and data-driven efforts to improve pediatric outcomes (immunization rates, asthma control, obesity prevention, etc.). Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (NextGen). Serve as a mentor or preceptor for medical students, residents, or nurse practitioners, as needed. Participate in community outreach, health fairs, and school-based initiatives to promote pediatric wellness and preventive care.

Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics. Current or eligible New York State medical license and DEA registration. Experience in an FQHC, community health, or safety-net setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

MHHC’s modern outpatient centers are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, on-site laboratories, integrated behavioral health services, and community health programs that connect patients to social supports and preventive services. Location & Schedule Primary location: Bronx, NY or Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Full-time (Monday–Friday and one Saturday per month). Outpatient only – on-call responsibilities.
