Demand Planner As Astranis’ founding Demand Planner, you will be responsible for planning materials to ensure resources required for product manufacturing are in stock and available. You will work closely with the Production and Procurement Departments to understand the production schedule and forecast appropriately to keep the factory stocked with necessary materials, as well as with the design teams to understand what is coming down the line.
Role
Develop and maintain material plans aligned with production schedules, ensuring timely availability of components to meet build timelines.
Work closely with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Program Management teams to anticipate material needs, resolve shortages, and align on priorities.
Utilize Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software to generate Clear to Build (CTB) reports, manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), and maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure proper storage and handling of materials, while maintaining optimal stock levels to support production demands.
Work with Program Management and Engineering to ready BOMs for demand planning in advance of a build and to forecast material requirements for upcoming builds.
Identify potential material shortages or delays, and develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on production schedules.
Contribute to process improvements in material planning, inventory management, and cross‑functional communication to enhance operational efficiency.
Present build schedules and high‑risk parts at program meetings to the executive team, providing visibility into material readiness and potential challenges.
Requirements
3+ years in material planning, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MRP software and SQL is a plus.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in BOMs, inventory records, and production schedules.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions in dynamic environments.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

$90,000 – $140,000 USD.
