Asphalt Paving Paver Operator
Operate with Precision on Dynamic Paving Projects! We're seeking a skilled Asphalt Paving Paver Operator to run mid-size asphalt pavers, ensuring smooth, efficient hot mix laydown on roads, lots, and infrastructure. Demonstrate hands-on expertise in operation, maintenance, and crew coordination for top-quality results. Key Responsibilities Start, steer, and control paver for even mat distribution, managing feeder systems (hopper, augers) to prevent segregation and maintain consistency Coordinate with screed operator, dump man, rollers, foreman, and truck drivers via hand signals/radios for synchronized speed and flow Perform daily inspections, greasing, basic troubleshooting, and cleaning to minimize downtime Read grade stakes, follow string lines/levels for accurate lines, joints, and texture Adhere to safety standards around hot mix, equipment, and traffic; work extended hours in heat/outdoor conditions during peak season Requirements High School Diploma/GED (preferred) 1–2 years operating asphalt paving machines Valid driver's license; able to pass DOT physical and drug test Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork in fast-paced crew environments Compensation
$25–$28/hour; 40 hours/week base with time-and-a-half overtime. Discretionary bonuses.
