Overview The Psychologist I will provide psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and/or treatment services for outpatient clients at the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSI). The incumbent may also provide training to parents, paraprofessionals, and professionals. Primary clinical responsibilities will be for patients aged 2 through young adult. Responsibilities Select, administer, and score diagnostic and/or psychological tests assessing the presence of autism, neurodevelopmental disabilities (such as intellectual disability), and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Interpret assessment results based on current research and evidence-based approaches. Write comprehensive diagnostic and psychological assessment reports, including interpretations and management plans. Provide interpretative information to parents and caregivers using a strengths-based framework. Provide empirically-based, neurodiversity-affirming care through individual, parent-mediated, and group therapy formats, including behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, tailored to patient needs. Document testing, reports, progress notes, treatment plans, and correspondence accurately in Epic and the department database, adhering to guidelines. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient diagnoses and treatment plans. Maintain familiarity with Maryland laws and ethical guidelines regarding patient confidentiality, reporting, and supervision. Initiate and participate in innovative programs and research projects. Design and deliver presentations at various levels. Maintain productivity and reporting standards as required by the department. Qualifications Must possess and maintain licensure as a psychologist in Maryland. Must obtain and maintain psychology privileges as a professional member of the Kennedy Krieger Institute Medical Staff. Education Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program. Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral internship in health service psychology. Experience Experience working with children with developmental disabilities required, demonstrated through predoctoral and/or postdoctoral training. Minimum pay range: USD $104,000.00/year. Maximum pay range: USD $141,733.95/year.
