Senior Director at gpac / Recruiter / Head Hunter / Rookie of the Year I have partnered with a well-established company in the exciting world of public accounting. My client firm is growing and offers the opportunity for an ambitious professional to become move up in the firm. This is an amazing opportunity for someone passionate about tax management and looking to take their career to new heights! You will play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Position Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the tax department, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting
Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on complex tax matters
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance at all times
Lead a team of tax professionals and provide mentorship and training
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth
Position Essential Job Functions
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Develop and implement innovative tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients
Conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve complex tax issues and provide appropriate solutions
Review and approve tax returns, financial statements, and other tax-related documents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax projects
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in tax management
Position Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
7+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax management
Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Outstanding leadership and communication abilities
Additional Qualifications
The position requires related experience working in external relationship management
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction
