As a Data Analyst at April Housing, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision making by consolidating and interpreting data, developing actionable insights, and enhancing reporting across the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and a commitment to data quality and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document data requirements.
  • Conduct technical discovery to understand available data sources and apply best practices for transforming tables that are optimized for modeling and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in data modeling, emphasizing the creation of efficient structures that maintain speed and flexibility for optimal data performance.

Prototyping Data Models For PowerBI Visualization:

  • Develop and prototype dimensional models in Power BI including an advanced understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Understand and analyze cardinality and relationships between different table structures, ensuring effective integration and interaction within data models.
  • Create and design user-friendly interactive dashboards to allow stakeholders to quickly perform cross-sectional analysis for operational and portfolio key metrics.

UAT Readiness:

  • Ensure data models and dashboards are ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve any issues during UAT.

Technical User Support:

  • Assist users with technical support related to data models and dashboards.
  • Provide training and documentation to help users effectively utilize data visualization tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Query.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerBI and other data visualization tools.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Power BI Report Builder to generate PDF reports for Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

What We Offer:

  • Base Compensation Range: $95,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually.
  • Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
