Overview

The purpose of this position is to fulfill accounting and administrative functions and to ensure County funds are handled correctly. This position adheres to Arizona Statutes on governmental accounting and reporting as well as all Federal mandates. This position communicates with Departments on relevant issues, prepares the County End-of-the-Month Report, maintains files, and monitors County accounting system monthly to ensure accurate expenses and revenues are coded to the correct Department funds. Works to maintain accurate data and support to the Treasurer’s Office accounting duties.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill accounting and administrative functions to ensure County funds are handled correctly.
• Adhere to Arizona Statutes on governmental accounting and reporting and to all Federal mandates.
• Communicate with Departments on relevant issues.
• Prepare the County End-of-the-Month Report.
• Maintain files and monitor the County accounting system monthly to ensure expenses and revenues are coded to the correct Department funds.
• Maintain accurate data and provide support to the Treasurer’s Office accounting duties.
