Multimodality Technologist (X-Ray & CT) – Radiology / Cardiology Travel Position Location: Denmark, SC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday–Sunday (2 Days / 1 Night) Pay: $2,329.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Position Summary ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Multimodality Technologist (X-Ray & CT) for a 13-week travel contract in Denmark, South Carolina. This hybrid position supports both Radiology and Cardiology imaging operations. The technologist will perform CT and radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is proficient in both modalities, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered, following departmental policies and safety standards. Prepare patients for imaging procedures, verifying identification, obtaining medical history, and explaining the exam process. Operate CT and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation. Administer IV contrast materials under established protocols; monitor for adverse reactions. Evaluate image quality, ensuring proper positioning, exposure, and diagnostic value prior to submission for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety protocols, including consistent use of personal radiation badges (agency-provided). Maintain detailed records of procedures, equipment checks, and patient information in Epic EMR and PACS. Rotate on-call coverage; may be required to cover unfilled shifts during on-call rotation. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care providers to ensure timely and coordinated patient care. Follow emergency and hurricane response policies during peak season (June–November). Qualifications Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology (required). Active South Carolina license from the Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) (required). Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R)(CT) (required). BLS (Basic Life Support, AHA) certification required. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist (required). Proficiency in both CT and general radiographic imaging. Familiarity with Epic EMR and PACS systems preferred. Must provide personal radiation badge (facility does not supply). Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. Must be able to work hybrid schedule and rotating on-call shifts. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed). Recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
