Overview This is more than just a data analyst role – it’s an exciting opportunity to be part of a team shaping the future of cardiothoracic care. We’re looking for an experienced cardiothoracic, vascular, or stroke health professional to join our new open-heart program launched in 2024! As the Vascular Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advancing vascular and stroke care through data management and quality improvement, directly contributing to the success of our cutting-edge services. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals to improve stroke treatment, advance vascular procedures, and make a lasting impact on patient care. What You’ll Be Doing Lead Data Management & Analysis: You’ll take charge of capturing, validating, and entering data into key quality databases like the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) and the American Heart Association’s Stroke Program “Get with the Guidelines.” Spot Trends & Drive Improvement: Analyze data to identify key trends, causative factors, and opportunities for improvements in our vascular and stroke programs. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to turn data into actionable insights. Reporting & Presentation: You’ll create and present detailed reports to the Vascular and Stroke Committees, leadership teams, and quality improvement committees. Your reports will influence critical decisions in our programs and help drive continuous improvement. Ensure Compliance & Best Practices: Stay up to date with the latest guidelines from the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and AHA, ensuring that all registry functions are met in full compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with Experts: You’ll work alongside our Vascular, Neurology, and Neurosurgery physician leaders to keep them updated on data progress, emerging trends, and strategies for improvement. Enhance Efficiency & Impact: Use your analytical skills to develop and implement business solutions that optimize program efficiencies and enhance patient outcomes. Professional Growth: Attend the annual VQI conference and other educational opportunities to stay on top of the latest in vascular and stroke care. What We’re Looking For Clinical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of vascular and neurovascular anatomy, as well as hands-on experience in the vascular and stroke setting. Data-driven Insight: You’re skilled at turning complex data into easy-to-understand reports that inform decisions and drive improvements in patient care. Commitment to Excellence: You thrive on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes. Education and Experience Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science, information systems, business, or related field Required Experience: Two years of previous hospital or clinical setting in vascular and stroke setting or similar clinical data analysis. Must have thorough knowledge of Vascular and Neurovascular anatomy. Must have knowledge of operative reports. Three years in program analysis experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher certification, Certification in data analysis or data sciences Attend Education for the VQI and GWTG-S Registries within the first 30-60 days of on-boarding Ready to make an impact in a rapidly growing field?
