Position Summary
UTEX Industries is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Corporate Human Resources team in Houston, Texas. This role supports a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, HRIS data management, and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment, and enjoys supporting employees and managers across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for corporate employees and provide HR support to remote locations as needed.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Manage employee records, job changes, and terminations in UKG (Ready).
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries.
- Assist in employee relations, coaching, and policy interpretation in alignment with company values.
- Maintain training records and assist with course assignments and tracking through TalentLMS.
- Prepare reports, audits, and data analytics using UKG and Excel.
- Ensure HR processes and records meet ISO standards and compliance requirements.
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping coordination, as well as HR system troubleshooting.
- Support engagement and communication initiatives, including service awards, suggestion programs, and company events.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience using HRIS platforms (UKG preferred) and learning management systems (TalentLMS preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus but not required.
