Marcus & Associates Executive Recruiters is hiring: Accounting Manager in Hoboke

Premier Multi-family Real Estate Company in Hoboken is looking for an Accounting Manager to partner with a fantastic management team.

Essential Job Functions:

• Review general ledger accounts using Blackline, and review journal entries and adjustments, where applicable.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment; remediate gaps and manage testing.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into strategic planning.
• Own the monthly close calendar for assigned properties: accruals, allocations, intercompany, and eliminations; ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure accurate fixed asset capitalization, project cost tracking, and depreciation; partner with onsite teams on project closeouts and useful lives.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, innovative environment with the ability to constantly make improvements.

Requirements:

• College degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting with exposure to multi-family real estate
• Process improvement mindset and a flexible approach to problem solving
• CPA/CMA and public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with Yardi and Blackline a plus
• Organized, attention to detail and ability to manage strict deadlines.

The base pay range for this position is $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr.
