The Opportunity: The primary function of the Accounting Coordinator is to provide overall support to the Operations teams for all accounting functions related to projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for following all applicable Bowen Engineering Accounting policies and procedures as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

What You\u2019ll Do:
Payables
- Process Accounts Payable for vendors and subcontractors timely, checking against contract and verifying accuracy w/ contract requirements
- Review of AIA Applications for payment, supporting documents and lien waivers for accuracy
- Identifies inconsistencies with contract rates and seeks to rectify with Subcontractors and Project team
- Review of invoices for proper sales tax
- Handling of project packing slips
- Request updated Certificate of Insurance when required
- Prepares retainage releases for Project Manager approval
- Responds to vendor and subcontractor inquiries regarding AP for related projects
- Provide various aging and job cost reports to Project Managers as needed
- Work with Project Manager to ensure customer related billings are prepared per contract requirements and all associated schedules are completed
- Posting of customer billings in customer portal and/or in company database
- Works with Accounting and Project Managers to follow up on owner payments
Must-haves in a Candidate:
- High School Diploma
- Construction Coordinator/Accounting experience preferred
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast pace- environment with competing priorities
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Must possess the ability to work independently and self-review work
- Enjoy collaboration with teams
- High attention to detail
- Agreeable to visiting job construction sites when needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365- Word, Excel, and Outlook
