Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, exceptional team leadership skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing best practices. The Production Manager will oversee a large workforce and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, efficient resource management, and effective leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily production operations across multiple shifts
Supervise a team of 6+ Production Supervisors and a workforce exceeding 90 employees
Monitor KPIs, implement corrective actions, and ensure production goals are met or exceeded
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain departments
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
Maintain and improve workflow processes, capacity planning, and labor utilization
Train, coach, and develop supervisory staff to build a strong leadership pipeline

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management
Proven experience managing teams of 5+ supervisors and 75+ employees
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience in a unionized environment is highly preferred
Ability to drive results, improve processes, and foster a high-performance culture
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus
