Job Description - Data Governance Analyst
Data Governance Analyst (Job Number: 250001B4)
About the role RACQ is seeking a dedicated professional to guide and support the operational implementation of our Data Governance Framework within the Insights and Analytics department. This pivotal role will help uplift data stewardship, enhance metadata quality, and strengthen governance capabilities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Curate and maintain metadata across glossary, catalogue, and lineage views.
Support stewardship workflows and controlled metadata changes.
Assist in documenting governance processes and tool usage procedures.
Produce dashboards and reports for governance committees and management.
Provide front-line support for business users of RACQ’s data governance tools (e.g., Purview, Kada K).
About you You have a solid understanding of metadata, taxonomy, and data classification principles.
You bring experience in supporting metadata management and data governance practices within complex environments.
You're familiar with data governance tools and metadata standards, and comfortable navigating platforms like Microsoft Purview or Kada K.
You can develop clear, user-friendly training materials and deliver engaging sessions to diverse audiences.
You are detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and documentation skills that support effective governance operations.
