During the analysis, engineers will identify common hardware structures like embedded processors, DSPs, filters, transceivers, data links, and decoders and determine the operational parameters they were designed for. Candidates will be exposed to and learn about design techniques across a variety of domains such as cybersecurity, electronic warfare, encryption, radar, and satellite communications. Essential Job Responsibilities Perform hardware analysis and reverse engineering of DoD assets. Produce clear documentation explaining components, capabilities, and features of asset systems. Use HII proprietary tools, FPGA vendor tools, and third-party EDA tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis. Collaborate effectively with teammates to produce cohesive results and improve processes. Must be a U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3+ years with a Master's degree. Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL. Experience with industry-standard EDA tools and processes (synthesis, P&R, simulation, etc.). Ability to learn new skills quickly. Preferred Requirements Active security clearance. Experience with debugging interfaces (JTAG, SWD, etc.). Experience with signal protocol analysis (RS232, CAN, PCIe, Gigabit serial, etc.). Proficiency with ASIC, FPGA, or SOC design tools (Quartus, Vivado, ISE, etc.). Proficiency with EDA tools (Synopsis, Altium, Modelsim). Experience with formal verification tools and methodologies (OneSpin 360, Questa, etc.). Experience modifying hardware for non-standard tasks. Experience bypassing encryption schemes (power glitching, side-channel attacks, etc.). Physical Requirements Work may involve office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments.
