Position Summary The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor of a plastic injection molding facility. This includes supervising staff, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, optimizing production efficiency, and reducing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of plastic injection molding processes and equipment. Shift Full-Time: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary. Essential Job Functions Supervise, train, and coordinate production staff to meet daily and weekly production goals. Monitor machine operations, material flow, and production schedules to ensure efficiency and timely output. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, working closely with maintenance and engineering teams. Maintain accurate production records and submit required reports to management. Conduct regular inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S implementation. Lead shift changeovers with effective communication and documentation. Support employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and scheduling. Promote a positive work environment and high employee morale. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or related certification preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, resins, and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules. Proficient with MS Office and production tracking software (e.g., ERP/MES systems). Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Performs other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
