TEKsystems is hiring: PC Tech Hardware in Des Moines

Position Overview

A temporary contractor PC Technician role assisting with hardware deployment activities, inventory management, and user onboarding at TEKsystems, located on‑site in Des Moines, IA.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage hardware inventory and asset accountability.
• Image, prep and ship laptops and other hardware to end users.
• Support hardware deployment and inventory management processes.
• Respond to business partner inquiries, review client data and assist IT asset management systems.
• Lookup warranty status on hardware and submit security login requests via ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with business units to assist advisors with questions and needs.
• Receive in‑house training on systems and business knowledge (training duration ~2 months).

Required Qualifications

• Entry level experience in PC hardware support, imaging, refreshes and customer service.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows, SCCM, ServiceNow, SharePoint Online and Office 365.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player mentality.
• Detail oriented, patient and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across business functions.
• Experience with asset management and inventory systems preferred.

Technical Skills

• Hardware deployment, imaging and refreshes.
• PowerShell and Power Automate (nice to have).
• Mac support a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Workplace & Compensation

Onsite position in Des Moines, IA. 1099 contract. Hourly pay: $24.00 per hour.
