We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records and support the company’s financial operations.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Recording Transactions: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and payments, into the general ledger.
Managing Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track bill payments, and manage money owed by customers to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure all financial records are accurate and consistent.
Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support financial decision-making.
Payroll Processing: Administer payroll, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated and paid correctly and on time.
Tax Support: Assist with tax preparation by gathering and organizing financial records for tax filing.
Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for easy access and compliance.
Essential Skills and Experience
Software Proficiency: Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Accuracy & Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Skill in identifying and resolving issues that arise within financial transactions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report financial information and collaborate with team members.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Understanding of basic accounting principles and regulations, such as GAAP, is beneficial.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
