We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently.
Our ideal candidate is eager to build a long-term career in the legal field, particularly in Estate Law. We are seeking someone who is motivated to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to professional growth. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working closely with attorneys and clients in all aspects of estate planning and administration.

$45,000 Responsibilities:
Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Assist attorneys with estate planning and estate administration matters, including drafting, organizing, and maintaining client files. Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and court personnel to gather necessary information and provide case updates. Schedule client meetings, will signings, and court-related appointments, ensuring proper preparation of all materials. Manage document execution and notarization processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements. Organize and maintain estate files, including trust binders, probate documents, and client correspondence. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and expand responsibilities with the goal of promotion to a Paralegal position. Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently. Travel to other offices to assist with Estate signings. Qualifications:
Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment Proficient with MS Office products 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant About Company We are a fast-growing regional Family and Elder Law Firm with multiple offices in NC and SC.
