Speech Therapist – Mount Sinai Brooklyn – Part‑time – 0.5 Day
Evaluates and treats patients referred for speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia dysfunction. Covers adult inpatient floors and provides services for speech, language and cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Familiar with tracheotomy patients and Passy Muir valve, communicates findings to multidisciplinary team. Objective testing and Modified Barium Swallow Study/Video Fluoroscopy and FEES preferred. Responsibilities
Cover adult inpatient floors. Evaluate and treat patients for speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Familiar with tracheotomy and vent‑dependent patients and Passy Muir valve evaluations and treatment. Communicate findings and concerns related to patient care to other members of the disciplinary team. Perform objective testing. Perform Modified Barium Swallow Study/Video Fluoroscopy and FEES. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required. New York State Speech‑Language Pathology license required. BLS certification (American Heart Association) required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency and previous experience in acute care or related medical setting required.
