Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Shore Educational Collaborative is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to work with students with disabilities from pre-kindergarten to age 22 at the Owen School.
Pay Range:
$61,841 - $117,565 per year.
Responsibilities:
Conduct descriptive behavior assessments (including FBAs) and interpret the results.
Design effective behavior analytic interventions.
Develop and supervise implementation of behavior plans.
Design and oversee interventions consistent with the dimensions of applied behavior analysis.
Identify the need for program or data collection system revisions or termination; make revisions as appropriate.
Teach staff to carry out interventions.
Ensure that behavior data and graphs are prepared.
Supervise, monitor, and/or assist students in crisis.
Represent the programs at IEP meetings, monthly room meetings, case conferences, trainings, and other required meetings.
Coordinate and provide regular trainings to new staff throughout the year and to veteran staff as needed.
Participate in and complete Safety Care Trainer training; train new and veteran staff in safety care as needed throughout the year.
Participate fully in any and all physical requirements of the position, including routine behavioral interventions, crisis intervention, lifting and transferring students, etc.
Generate and distribute consultation notes.
Develop and implement social skills groups.
Provide consultation services as may be required on students’ IEPs.
Develop or guide ongoing implementation of teaching procedures for vocational, life skills or academics (district training, ADLs, TA).
Any other duties assigned by the Coordinator and/or Director.
Qualifications:
BCBA Certification.
Maintain renewal and recertification of BCBA standards.
3 years experience with students with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and those with therapeutic and mental health needs.
Familiarity with relevant regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Must be flexible and willing to work in multiple programs.
Master’s Degree in special education, psychology, or a related field from an accredited four‑year college or university required.
Ideal candidate will have also demonstrated success in consulting and providing workshops and in‑service programs.
Position includes the entirety of a five‑week summer program.
