Description We’re looking for a hands‑on, organized, and detail‑oriented
Solar Warehouse Manager
to oversee operations in our Long Island facility. In this role, you’ll take ownership of all warehouse activities, ensuring materials and equipment are received, stored, and distributed efficiently to support our solar installation teams.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has a strong understanding of inventory management, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of solar materials and equipment.
Operate and maintain material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize products within the warehouse.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of orders for delivery or pickup, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records, perform regular audits, and investigate discrepancies.
Implement and enforce safety, security, and operational procedures to safeguard personnel and inventory.
Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Train, lead, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Collaborate with installation, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow to field operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Monitor equipment performance and schedule regular maintenance as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, operations, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment required.
Proven experience with inventory management systems, RF scanners, and computer‑based tracking tools.
Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.
Familiarity with electrical or solar materials is a plus.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
