Strategic Negotiator, Data Center Site Acquisitions and Development Preferred working locations:

Addison, TX; Austin, TX; Kirkland, WA.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience managing projects or supporting the planning and development of agreements.

Experience negotiating or supporting the negotiation of bilateral real estate agreements of varying sizes, timelines, and scale.

Experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, and site selection for industrial‑scale projects.

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with site selection, real estate transaction, evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements, energy, clean energy initiatives, financial modeling, large collocation agreements.

Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development, agreement drafting and presentation development.

Knowledge of power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, industrial electrical and cooling technology, and related areas.

About the Job:

As Google's products and services grow, the Strategic Negotiation team secures infrastructure for Google’s future. This role combines market knowledge with tech industry savvy to find solutions supporting Google’s growth. You’ll work with specific teams to oversee vendor and partner relationships. Your management skills can impact every part of the business and save millions of dollars in operating costs. You’ll ensure contract compliance and identify cost‑effective solutions, take lead on special projects, manage vendors, and present recommendations to Google leadership.

Responsibilities:

Work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue new site selection or expansion projects and initiatives necessary to meet Google’s ongoing data center needs, including procurement of infrastructure for existing and new sites.

Lead the development of agreements with vendors, landowners, and key suppliers for space and utility services.

Implement strategy to enable ongoing growth at existing sites.

Develop metrics to map, track, and lead a broad range of portfolio management issues regarding site/infrastructure development.

Compensation:

US base salary range $122,000–$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation details listed reflect base salary only; equity and benefits not included in the range.
