Job Description We are seeking a dynamic

Director of Trade Marketing

to spearhead trade marketing resource development for FIJI Water. This role works cross-functionally with our brand team, creative agency and retail and on premise sales teams, collaborating closely on marketing plan development and implementation, as well as all retail and on premise trade strategies and executional elements.

Director of Trade Marketing responsibilities:

Create and implement national trade marketing strategies for retail and On Premise

Develop account-specific trade marketing programs by collaborating with the sales team on specific accounts. Support sell-in of these programs by assisting in the deck creation for customer meetings

Build and grow Shopper Marketing programming, tracking finances, metrics, and building on successes in collaboration with Sales Team and Account(s)

Develop account-specific point-of-sale materials, working closely with brand marketing, sales, design team, and vendors

Create and implement category sourcing strategies in partnership with senior management, coordinate with sourcing resources as needed, and build stakeholder alignment

Work closely with key internal customers across the organization, to develop effective cost reduction strategies, while meeting specification standards. Support on‑going supplier selection and evaluation process

Develop, grow and maintain network of qualified suppliers for all trade marketing needs while working within dedicated project budgets

Responsible for tracking annual budget targets by managing suppliers, spend and performance

Conduct financial analyses to achieve the optimum cost/value relationship

Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations, and strategic importance of critical commodities

Maintain metrics, including external benchmarks, to monitor performance and allow for data‑driven decision‑making

Build, lead, and implement the long‑term Responsible Sourcing roadmap, ensuring compliance with legal, social, and sustainability standards and leading practices, by effectively communicating and engaging critical team members internally, including senior leadership in Marketing, Legal, and Procurement

Track, and report savings, spending compliance and variances: communicate results with selected stakeholders

Perform supplier performance reviews and supplier compliance audits in conjunction with the business as appropriate

Qualifications

10 years marketing and/or promotions experience

Project management experience

Bachelor’s degree required

CPG or retail experience is a plus

Experience working with a creative agency is a plus

Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Occasional travel to audit manufacturers, sales meetings, and account calls

Solid background in supplier‑responsible sourcing practices and standards

Experience in driving supplier quality initiatives/standards globally

Proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations

Skills & Professional Characteristics

Solid quantitative and analytical skills, understanding of basic finance concepts (coding invoices, updating budget trackers, etc.)

Experience leading projects and cross‑functional teams

A results‑oriented self‑starter who takes initiative without being asked and has a strong sense of urgency; flexible and adaptable to change

Ability to work cross‑functionally without significant supervision and within timelines, with strong attention to detail

Benefits Pay Range: $165,000 - $175,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
