The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing quality specimen collection and exceptional patient care. This role involves drawing blood samples, processing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring an excellent patient experience through professionalism, accuracy, and compassion. The PSR I upholds confidentiality, safety, and quality standards while maintaining an efficient workflow in a clinical environment. Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate and efficient phlebotomy and specimen collection for patients. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional environment in compliance with laboratory standards. Process, label, and prepare specimens for transport according to standard operating procedures. Verify patient identity and ensure specimen labeling accuracy in the patient’s presence. Maintain complete and accurate records and documentation. Promote a positive and caring image to patients, clients, and colleagues. Provide superior customer service by building trust and confidence with patients. Follow established safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and confidentiality procedures. Remain flexible to cover additional sites or shifts when needed. Required Experience

Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required. 1+ year of experience preferred (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections). Prior customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related environments strongly preferred. Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required. Education & Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA). Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Required Skills
