Responsibilities
The Chief Radiation Oncology Physicist shall supervise the Radiation Oncology Physics Program, which includes the technical direction of Medical Physicist, Jr. Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist and therapists for External Beam, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Prostate Implants, IMRT, and HDR treatments. Qualifications
Minimum Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Radiological Physics or a closely related field such as physics, biophysics or health physics. Minimum Experience: Minimum of five years full‑time work experience as a radiation therapy physicist; minimum of three years supervisory experience. Required Certification/Registration: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiology Physics or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Therapeutic Radiology Physics; New York State license required; ongoing BLS certification. Stands considerable part of the day; considerable mental and visual demands; must be alert, in control of equipment and observation of patient’s condition. Environmental demands: Works in a clean, well‑lighted, heated or ventilated facility; no routine exposure to hazards. Physical demands: Can lift 50 lbs.; long periods of sitting, standing, walking. Mental demands: Prioritize tasks, multitask, critical thinking, sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. Remote or Hybrid: Position may be required to report in and work on‑site if operationally necessary. Benefits & Compensation
The compensation range for the role is
$211,204.50 - $264,010.50
