The Role PMCS Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (SPM) to provide leadership and oversight on major construction programs. This role offers the opportunity to resolve complex challenges, manage multiple projects, and help shape the future of educational infrastructure.
As a Senior Project Manager at PMCS Group, you will oversee project teams and provide functional direction across multiple construction projects. You’ll ensure program goals are achieved, budgets and schedules are maintained, and quality standards are consistently met. This role also requires working closely with district leadership, contractors, architects, and consultants to coordinate large-scale efforts and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and provide oversight to Owners Authorized Representatives (OARs)
Resolve complex construction issues, disputes, and disagreements
Monitor overall project progress against construction schedules
Review and assess change orders and their impact on the District
Assist with bid and contract planning and specification assessments
Track construction database variances for scheduling and cost control
Oversee fiscal management, including applications for payment
Provide direction in scheduling, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control
Monitor administration of contracts for architects and consultants
Coordinate program activities with multiple District branches and departments
Develop and recommend internal policies and procedures
Perform additional related duties as required

The Person Required
17+ years of project / construction management experience
5+ years managing large programs with individual projects valued at $50M+
5+ years in educational, public works, or large commercial projects
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent with ability to obtain CCM within one year
Preferred
Design-build experience
Knowledge of BIM, LEED, CHPS, and DSA processes
California Architect or Professional Engineer licensure
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
