Startup Solution Engineer
to be a technical lead for the Snowflake Startup Accelerator and broader Startup Program, guiding a portfolio of new and emerging businesses that are building applications leveraging Snowflake’s cutting‑edge features.
In this role you will work directly with a diverse group of startups, often 30+ at a time. Your primary focus will be to help them design and architect their applications with the goal of having them go live as quickly as possible. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in both a business and technical contexts, providing clear, direct answers and recommendations, while also advising on the business trade‑offs inherent in technical decisions.
In this role you will get to:
Act as a Snowflake technical leader and trusted adviser for our startups, presenting Snowflake technology and vision to founders, heads of Product and Engineering
Provide expert architectural and technical guidance, specifically focusing on the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and application design to enable rapid deployment on Snowflake
Work closely with Product Teams to gain in‑depth knowledge of the latest features and provide direct support to startups leveraging them
Build technical assets such as blog posts, Youtube videos, and quickstarts to accelerate the adoption of the startups
Evangelize joint solutions and product integrations by speaking at conferences, webinars, and other events
Immersive yourself in the ever‑evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, including Kubernetes and AI/ML capabilities, and how to position Snowflake in relation to them.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and messaging.
On Day One we will expect you to have:
7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 within a pre‑sales/customer facing role
5+ years of AI/ML experience and a solid understanding of the ecosystem
Proven experience in building applications and a strong understanding of the SDLC
Strong experience with Kubernetes and/or Snowpark Container Services
Deep experience with large‑scale database, data warehouse technologies, or data platforms
Hands‑on expertise with SQL and Python, along with experience in other relevant programming languages for application development
Understanding of cloud architectures and services from AWS, Azure, and Google
Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and business audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard, or using presentations and demos
Top‑notch organizational skills and ability to context switch seamlessly
University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience
Bonus: experience working with or for startups.

Salary and benefits
The estimated base salary range for this role is $162,000 - $208,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
