Responsibilities
Implement, supervise, and monitor standards-based equitable instruction.
Support school leadership teams in developing long- and short-range action plans for academic achievement.
Develop, support, guide, and evaluate teachers and support personnel to ensure the academic achievement of all student groups and targeted populations.
Provide instructional support by building capacity of teachers in effective strategies for all student groups, including English learners, foster youth, low-income students, Standard English learners, gifted and talented, and students with disabilities.
Lead teachers and other support personnel to ensure professional development plan and intervention services aligned with the Single Plan for Student Achievement and the District’s Master Plan for English Learners.
Serve as instructional team resource to school, staff, parents, and students.
Lead school personnel in formulating, interpreting, and implementing the school’s administrative policies.
Collaboratively implement a plan for School-wide Positive Behavior Support encouraging goal setting and behavior monitoring.
Counsel students and recommend and implement student interventions or disciplinary actions in accordance with Education Code, District policy and procedures, and the school’s student responsibility code.
Lead school personnel to meet state and federal mandates and instructional monitoring compliance.
Lead school personnel with overall campus management, student services, extracurricular activities, and community affairs.
Well-developed understanding of Teaching & Learning Framework, provide thoughtful effective feedback to teachers through observation cycles.
Experience in planning and facilitating professional development with monitoring and implementation of effective research based instructional practices.
Qualifications
Eight years of successful full-time public school district certificated service.
A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 program.
A minimum of two years of experience in an elementary school.
Two years of service in a position that required and utilized an administrative credential, such as assistant principal or equivalent.
Valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching.
Valid California Administrative Services Credential.
Multicultural coursework.
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
District Master Plan requirements.
Salary 43G – E Basis ($133,626 – $166,705) – 234 paid days.
