Alexa Management is an independent hotel management company based in Texas, proudly operating a curated portfolio of six distinctive, design-forward hotels across the state. These hotels are in various states of renovation, with expansions or renovations planned for most of them over the next two years. We specialize in creating inspired hospitality experiences rooted in authenticity, community, and operational excellence. Job Purpose

The Director of Finance (DOF) will oversee and elevate all accounting and financial functions for Alexa Management and its managed hotels. This leader will be responsible for ensuring that all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activities are accurate, consistent, and timely across all entities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the centralized finance team, fostering accountability, clarity, and professional development. Collaborate with ownership and executives to drive financial strategy, performance insights, and capital planning. Build scalable financial systems and infrastructure that support multi-property operations and future portfolio growth. Build and maintain banking relations on both property & portfolio levels. Conduct scenario modeling (e.g., occupancy or ADR fluctuations, new property openings, renovations). Oversee all accounting functions across multiple hotels, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial activities. Standardize and maintain a unified chart of accounts for all properties to ensure consistency and reliable consolidated reporting. Manage and continuously improve the weekly Accounts Payable process, ensuring vendors are paid on schedule and with proper approvals. Oversee daily sales journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and property-level month-end closes. Supervise preparation of monthly P&L statements, ownership reporting packages, and consolidated management company financials. Establish and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to ensure data integrity and audit readiness. Establish and monitor CapEx tracking and large project management. Champion compliance and risk oversight, insuring all taxes, licenses, insurances, etc. are tracked and accounted for. Produce timely, accurate financial reports and KPIs for ownership and leadership teams each month. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for both properties and the management company. Analyze variances, cash flow trends, and operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities. Provide clear, actionable insights to help optimize profitability and performance across the portfolio. Evaluate and enhance existing accounting systems (currently QuickBooks Online) for automation, accuracy, and scalability. Design and implement standardized financial procedures across all hotels to ensure consistency and transparency. Document financial workflows, ensuring all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual processes are clearly defined and followed. Champion technology adoption and best practices that improve efficiency and data visibility. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a multi-property hospitality finance leadership role. Deep understanding of hotel accounting systems, property management systems (PMS), and reporting interfaces. Proven success implementing new systems or restructuring financial processes across multiple entities. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and financial modeling; experience with BI or ERP tools a plus. Professional Characteristics
