$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Position Summary

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management, coordination, and supervision of all mechanical construction activities for large-scale Life Science, Mission Critical, and Manufacturing facility projects. This position ensures that all mechanical work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with design documents, specifications, and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee daily mechanical construction activities including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping installations. Supervise mechanical subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel to ensure productivity and adherence to project requirements. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance and identify constructability issues. Coordinate mechanical work with other trades to prevent conflicts and maintain efficient workflow. Monitor field progress and assist in updating project schedules and manpower forecasts. Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce compliance with all company and regulatory safety policies. Maintain daily reports documenting progress, manpower, equipment usage, and potential delays or issues. Support procurement and logistics by monitoring delivery schedules for mechanical materials and equipment. Assist in mechanical system testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities. Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on construction methods, sequencing, and resource requirements. Required Qualifications

Minimum of

8 years of experience

in mechanical construction supervision, with emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems. Proven track record managing

ground‑up construction projects exceeding $15 million

in total value. Experience within

Life Science, Mission Critical, or advanced Manufacturing

environments strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices, and industry standards. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and schedules. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Ability to travel to and work at project sites along the East Coast as required. OSHA 30 certification

or equivalent safety training preferred. Physical Requirements

Ability to work on active construction sites, including exposure to varying weather conditions. Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform physical site inspections as needed. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 pounds may be required. Work Environment

Work is primarily conducted on active job sites. The role requires close coordination with field teams, subcontractors, and project management staff in a fast‑paced construction environment. Travel and extended site presence may be required depending on project assignment. Seniority Level
