Interaction Designer, Local Service Ads
Google is seeking an Interaction Designer to build intuitive, accessible experiences for billions of users across mobile and desktop products. The role is based in multiple U.S. locations and offers a competitive base salary range of $129,000–$185,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
Locations: Mountain View, CA; Irvine, CA; New York, NY; Seattle, WA (choose preferred during application).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
Experience with mobile and desktop products.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience working in a cross‑functional organization.
1 year of experience leading design projects.
Experience working within and contributing to design systems, as well as building accessible products.
Knowledge of UX industry tools such as Figma.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high‑fidelity prototypes.
Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
Advocate for the prioritization of design‑centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Produce deliverables such as mocks, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and carefully crafted visual specs with detailed focus.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary $129,000–$185,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
