Job Description This role is field-based and requires residing within a reasonable distance of the primary city.
The Geography Includes The Following States
Columbia, SC
Charleston, SC
Greenville, SC
Responsibilities
Educate HCPs on patient support programs and access tools.
Provide product‑specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks.
Offer resources to address access issues.
Educate providers on payer policies, coding changes, and claims submission processes.
Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility.
Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
Establish and maintain relationships with providers in the territory.
Maintain current knowledge of key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of pharma industry experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
Previous experience in Immunology is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Thorough understanding of payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines.
Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement support services.
Strong communication of technical coding and billing requirements at national and regional levels.
Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement dynamics.
Understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing (specialty pharmacies, distributors, and white‑bagging).
Knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction.
Excellent territory and account management skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
Compliance with all applicable Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.

The compensation range described below is a range of possible base pay compensation that AbbVie believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation will depend on many factors including geographic location and may be modified in the future.
Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) eligibility.
