Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Line of Business (LoB) targets regionally in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority. Responsibilities
Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets. Negotiate price and terms and conditions with producers. Underwrite in line with Cyber governance framework – e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles. Conduct thorough underwriting analysis of submitted risks, including reviewing financial statements, risk exposures, and claims history. Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes. Train, develop and coach less experienced staff (including Underwriters). Support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and producer negotiations where necessary). Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders. Qualifications
3-5 years experience in a proven track record of underwriting profitable business in CYBER. 3-5 years experience in demonstrating established relationships with brokers at peer group level and established within market. 3-5 years experience in understanding regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape. 1-3 years experience in understanding legal and regulatory framework. College degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity. Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision making is preferred. Compensation
Base salary range: $85,969 - $129,875 (nationwide market). Position may be above range based on experience and responsibility. Competitive bonus scheme and pension; annual performance-based cash incentive awards. Benefits
