Overview
Quinnipiac University invites applications for the Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement. The role works with the marketing and strategic partnership team to navigate the fast‑paced environment of athletic marketing to build the Quinnipiac Athletics brand. The position supports the marketing efforts of Quinnipiac’s intercollegiate athletic programs.

Responsibilities
Develop and direct the annual marketing/promotional campaigns focused on promoting attendance and ticket sales at home athletic sporting events, with a primary focus on hockey and basketball.
Fulfill corporate sponsorship components that will enhance our game presentation and community partnerships.
Assist box office with group sales initiatives and ticket‑driven promotions.
Create and implement the overall advertising plan, paid social campaign, and branding efforts; work directly with our Ad Agency and QU MarCom Department.
Serve as primary point person working with Office of Student Affairs to increase student involvement and participation in Athletic events. Design effective on‑campus marketing initiatives to increase student attendance.
Develop student promotions, giveaways, in‑game contests to increase game‑day experience.
Direct oversight of Athletic spirit groups—i.e., Pep Band, IceCats, Sideline Cheer.
Coordinate with Athletic Communications to utilize social media platforms to engage fans/students.
Establish special events, coordinate game day promotional activities; coordinate community and on‑campus events to support our ticket marketing and promotional initiatives.
Work in compliance with all NCAA, MAAC Conference, and ECAC Conference rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years experience in sports marketing and event management at the collegiate level developing and executing marketing plans and in‑game promotions.
Experience at an NCAA Division I institution or professional sports organization is highly desired.
Significant skill in the use of computer software and social media platforms.
An understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Demonstrated organizational and creative skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
