Lead Power Electronics Engineer
Direct hire, permanent position based in Carmel, IN.
Job Description Join a leading global entity in electric rotating machinery and industrial automation as a Power Electronics Engineer. This role is part of the Advanced Development Team, focusing on pioneering next-generation AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and testing of AC drives, power converters, and motor control systems.
Develop and tune motor control algorithms, including speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening.
Design power electronics and motor architectures.
Create system models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.
Collaborate with sales and customers to define product requirements.
Mentor engineers and lead complex engineering projects.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in designing AC systems, including induction, motor control, power electronics, and drive design.
Experience leading project development phases.
Experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in power electronics and motor control.
Skilled in power supply and AC/DC design.
Work Environment The position requires onsite presence in Carmel and occasional travel to customer sites. The work environment is dynamic, focusing on cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions.
Job Type & Location This is a direct hire, permanent position based out of Carmel, IN.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year. Benefits package will be provided.
