Overview
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a
Manager, Contracts Administration 1
to join the Advanced Systems Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD. The role will oversee a team of professionals and lead a newly awarded major development program with a secure, affordable, integrated, and multi‑domain system.
Responsibilities
Lead program kick‑off and establish change management rigor within the team.
Drive engineering change proposal efforts and build strong customer relationships.
Train, mentor, and develop the contracts team to achieve program success.
Provide BU, Division, and Sector level briefings; deliver contractual strategy guidance to program and executive management.
Maintain data integrity and lead the team in accordance with company procedures and management guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience in Contracts Administration or related field (or Master’s degree and 3 years experience).
Experience in a FAR/DFARS environment and background in DoD contracting, including USG customers.
Proven negotiation and administration of various contract types and supplemental agreements.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
Current active DoD Secret clearance; ability or experience to obtain/maintain a DoD Top‑Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working classified development and manufacturing programs.
MBA or JD is a plus.
Experience using SAP and training staff.
Demonstrated 1+ year(s) of leadership or supervisory experience.
