Sr. Field Applications Specialist (FAS)
is responsible for validating new Chemistry and Immunoassay instrument installations to meet Beckman Coulter and customer requirements. The FAS collaborates with customer Key Operators during validation, reinforcing training and ensuring readiness. The role addresses operational and performance questions, partners with Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams, and reports to the Technical Applications Supervisor. Responsibilities
Prepare customers for and complete validation studies on instrumentation including instrument set‑up, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons. Provide onsite and remote phone support for assay and QC related questions. Deliver onsite training for proper operation of instrumentation. Qualifications
Associate’s degree with a minimum 3+ years of experience in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or a related field. Advanced understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with emphasis on the Laboratory Regulatory environment. Essential Requirements
Up to 95% flying and/or driving travel, primarily domestic with occasional international travel. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift, move, slide, raise, and place up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, ascend, descend, and reach with hands and arms. Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree Medical Laboratory Science Standard Laboratory Management Practices including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, COLA). Remote Work & Travel
This position is fully remote, located in Los Angeles, CA / San Diego, CA area. Compensation
The hourly range for this role is $40.00–$46.00 per hour. This range is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits
