Overview
At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. A Day in the Life
Our Cloud and Connected Care platforms are redefining how patients engage with their therapies and how providers deliver care from anywhere in the world, at any time. We design and support intelligent health applications and data systems that integrate diagnostics, therapy analytics, and real-time insights. Building these systems at scale requires leaders who can blend innovation with rigor — and we are seeking such a leader. The Principal Software Systems Engineer will be at the forefront of advancing CareLink processes by rolling out AI-driven productivity frameworks and defining their intended use across diverse roles. You will champion adoption of cutting-edge tools such as Windsurf, Devin, and other next-generation copilots to enhance organizational efficiency, collaboration, and innovation. In addition, you will lead quality deliverables for the Trident release, leveraging automation across verification and validation to ensure compliance and reliability. By implementing a Virtual Document Auditor and strengthening document controls, you will proactively reduce quality observations, build preventive safeguards, and drive process maturity. Partnering closely with PMO, technical writers, and security analysts, you will deliver high-quality outcomes on time and at scale. You will also take on technical product ownership responsibilities, ensuring clarity of requirements, scope alignment, and regulatory compliance for CareLink releases. Through continuous assessment of product issues, you will define resolutions that meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals — aligning technology outcomes with business needs and customer expectations. This role is a unique opportunity to apply technical innovation, quality leadership, and cross-functional influence to deliver next-generation healthcare solutions that truly improve patient outcomes. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business.
