As the newest optometrist, you're stepping into a role where you'll conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health. You're expected to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide variety of eye conditions, including medically complex cases. You'll prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatments tailored to each patient's needs. With a skilled support team handling most pre- and post-exam testing, you're able to focus on providing direct patient care. You'll educate patients about eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options. For advanced or surgical cases, you're coordinating referrals within a strong network of ophthalmologists. You'll ensure that accurate and timely clinical documentation is maintained to meet practice and regulatory standards. By consistently delivering high-quality, compassionate care, you're helping foster the growth and reputation of the practice within its expanding community.**Who you are:**The ideal candidate has a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school and either possesses a current Texas Optometry License or is eligible to obtain one before the start date.
