## ## Job Description:Position Description:Designs test automation suites supporting healthcare administration systems. Automates pipelines using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (Jenkins and GIT). Ensures quality application delivery through test automation with using Java, JavaScript, Cucumber, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies. Enables delivery velocity and accelerates the test automation strategy. Tests distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack, using a variety of automation frameworks. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.Primary Responsibilities:* Develops testing applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.* Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.* Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.* Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.* Establishes project testing plans for projects of moderate scope.* Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.* Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.* Mentors junior team members.* Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.* Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development and testing efforts.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, creating, and maintaining test automation frameworks in a financial services environment.Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, creating, and maintaining test automation frameworks in a financial services environment.Skills and Knowledge:Candidate must also possess:* Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing responsive and reliable applications with an emphasis on test automation and testing frameworks, using server-side technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring-Boot).* DE improving query performance and efficiencies by composing and optimizing complex and performant SQL queries across large datasets, using SQL, DBeaver, or MySQL Workbench.* DE creating and modifying CI/CD pipelines to orchestrate continuous testing of software under test, using Jenkins.* DE designing and developing test automation capabilities using Java or RestAssured (for APIs) and JavaScript or Cypress (for UI).#PE1M2#LI-DNI## ## Certifications:## ## Category:## Information TechnologyMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
