Lead the establishment and management of robust device technology platforms to support Sanofi's growing R&D pipeline and GBU portfolios through a platform-based strategy. This role ensures critical innovation is completed off the critical path of product development by creating technology building blocks within an overall product platform architecture. This role is critical to Sanofi's strategy of efficiently delivering innovative drug delivery solutions to patients while optimizing development resources through platform-based approaches.**Main Responsibilities****Platform Leadership & Development*** Provide end-to-end ownership of Auto-Injector (AI), Large Volume Device (LVD), and Pen Technologies, including specification and development of platform architectures* Ensure continuous platform improvements by anticipating Drug-Device Combination (DDC) applications to align platform capabilities with business requirements* Generate IP to protect platform innovations, generate revenue and gain FTO \* Ensure architectural integrity, including system integration with primary containers, throughout the entire innovation and product lifecycle**Cross-Functional Collaboration*** Work across Mfg & Supply, R&D, GBUs, and corporate functions to align business needs with platform roadmaps* Support key business decisions on product/technology licensing or acquisition and investments, including technologies to be internalized which have broad applicability across Sanofi’s pipeline..* Optimize internal development balanced with external partnerships to accelerate device development and ensure access to cutting edge technologies which support Sanofi portfolio**Site Leadership*** Serve as GDPU Cambridge Site Coordinator* Manage activities and wellbeing of the entire GDPU Cambridge organization* Oversee HSE, facilities, communications, ways of working, and local Town Hall meetings**Key Deliverables*** Platform roadmaps aligned with business needs* Verified and proven subsystem building blocks* Successful deployment of platform assets in product applications* Standardized processes for platform development and implementation* Robust supply chain structures for platform components**About You****Required Expertise & Qualifications*** Extensive experience in medical device development, particularly in drug delivery systems* Proven track record in platform strategy development and implementation* Experience in systems engineering and quality management systems* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships* Strategic and analytical thinking* BS in Engineering; advanced degree a plus* Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.* Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it’s through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.* Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.* Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks’ gender-neutral parental leave.Sanofi Inc. and its U.S. affiliates are Equal Opportunity employers committed to a culturally inclusive workforce.
