Position Overview
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining
cleanliness and safety standards
throughout the production facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring that equipment, work areas, and production zones meet sanitation and food safety requirements. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cleaning equipment and chemicals in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Thoroughly
clean and sanitize production lines , equipment, floors, and walls according to sanitation procedures. Dismantle and reassemble equipment
to ensure all surfaces are accessible and properly sanitized. Operate
high-pressure water and air hoses
safely and effectively during cleaning processes. Use
chemicals, steam cleaners, and other sanitation tools
to maintain hygienic production standards. Remove product waste and debris from floors and surrounding areas. Perform sanitation tasks across multiple areas of the facility, including: Grinding, blending, forming, and packing production areas Exterior grounds and general facility upkeep (including trash collection).
Follow company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling protocols. Support
other sanitation or maintenance duties
as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Ability to
stand, reach, and handle equipment continuously (67-100%)
of the time. Ability to
walk, lift, carry, push, and pull frequently (34-66%)
of the time. Ability to
work overhead, twist, climb ladders or stairs, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally (1-33%)
of the time. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, pressure hoses, and heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, employees will be regularly required to: Walk and stand for extended periods. Climb, bend forward, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. Wear and operate a hip/backpack vacuum. Reach and grasp, push and pull objects, and lift/move up to
60+ pounds
(team lifting required for heavier items). Perform
repetitive bending and arm movements . Operate a
high-pressure hose
for up to 4 hours per shift while maintaining grip on a ball valve-style nozzle. Work Environment Work is performed in a
production and sanitation setting
that may involve wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and equipment noise. Employees are required to wear appropriate
PPE
to ensure personal safety.
