Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will perform a combination of in-office and remote duties to support our healthcare team. Your role will involve direct patient care, administrative tasks, and assisting physicians with various office operations. You will be integral to ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow and maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Rooming patients and updating medical records.
Handling voicemails from the call center and scribing for surgeons.
Preparing and cleaning exam rooms between patient visits.
Taking patient vitals and assisting with minor procedures such as suture or staple removal.
Restocking exam rooms to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Supporting a patient flow of 15-20 patients per doctor daily.
Managing staff messages and processing prescription refills remotely.
Handling incoming calls and assisting with conservative treatment documentation.
Collecting and managing treatment records and uploading documents into patient charts accurately.
Supporting physicians with office tasks and administrative needs.
Assisting with managing MRI denial documentation and follow-up.
Essential Skills
Medical assisting and patient care experience.
Familiarity with Epic and electronic health records.
Medical terminology knowledge.
Prior experience as an MA/CMA in any specialty.
Experience with medical scribing or documentation.
EPIC EMR experience.
Phlebotomy skills.
Health care and appointment scheduling experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to room patients and collect vitals.
Proficiency in blood pressure testing.
Experience in screening patients based on provider-specific questions.
Work Environment
The position operates on a 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday schedule.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manalapan, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
