The HR Data Governance Team maintains accuracy, security, and compliance of HR data across Databricks and Microsoft Fabric environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enforcement of HR data governance policies to ensure compliance with enterprise standards, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Define, monitor, and enhance data quality rules in Ataccama for critical HR datasets.
- Oversee and validate data quality across Databricks Silver, Gold, and Platinum layers to ensure accuracy and completeness before publication.
- Investigate root causes of data quality issues, track remediation progress, and collaborate with Data Engineering on sustainable process improvements.
- Deliver recurring Data Quality & Compliance dashboards highlighting lineage integrity, remediation status, and governance KPIs.
- Maintain and continuously update metadata and lineage documentation across Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Fabric Data Catalog.
- Define and align business and technical definitions across Ataccama and Fabric glossaries to ensure consistent terminology and traceability.
- Partner with Data Model and Visualization Analysts to enforce schema consistency, standardized measures, and common naming conventions.
- Communicate lineage and schema changes related to model updates, new deployments, or structural modifications.
- Govern the Row‑Level Security (RLS) framework for HR data in Power BI and Fabric, ensuring alignment with HR role‑based personas.
- Lead quarterly access and security reviews with stakeholders to verify group assignments, permissions, and compliance documentation.
- Define and enforce data access policies through Unity Catalog and Azure AD groups, ensuring complete audit evidence.
- Serve as the primary governance liaison for audit requests, compliance reviews, and data certification documentation.
- Integrate governance checkpoints into the HR Reporting Lifecycle from peer review through certification and release.
- Collaborate with the Senior Data Visualization Analyst to ensure reports meet RLS, lineage, and certification standards prior to release.
- Partner with Data Analysts and Automation Developers to operationalize governance monitoring and automation using Power Automate and Ataccama workflows.
- Act as the HR domain subject‑matter expert (SME) for data governance across enterprise data councils and cross‑functional forums.
- Mentor Data Analysts supporting governance and model validation to strengthen data quality ownership and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to automate governance documentation, lineage updates, and exception reporting.
- Represent HR Reporting & Analytics in global collaboration efforts with People Insights, Data Engineering, and HR Compliance & Innovation teams.

- Direct oversight on RLS configuration within Power BI and Azure AD integration.
- Serves as a project lead, partnering with senior IT, business and HR leaders providing HRIS expertise to solve complex business problems to meet business needs.
- Ability to manage and maintain complex system configuration to support design and architecture direction.
- Ability to perform complex system configuration testing and tasks for maintaining a network of HR Systems and applications.
- Ability to partner with global counterparts to create capabilities supporting the entire organization.
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs and/or customizes solutions for own business partners.
- Applies best practices and advanced methodologies, including functional requirements, business processes, changing development and technology environments.
- Ensures that application improvements are successfully implemented.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Power BI or Related Certification Required.
- SuccessFactors Certification Preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of HRIS or significant proven analytical experience.
- 3+ years of Power BI Reporting or Equivalent Configuration Experience Required.
- Critical and System Thinking.
