About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations at Jerry.ai, a fast‑growing startup with IPO ambitions. As our first such role, you will own revenue recognition, build scalable processes, and partner with cross‑functional teams to meet public company standards.

Jerry.ai is building the first super app to make car ownership affordable and accessible – insurance, registration, loans, repairs, parking, and more – in a $2T U.S. market. We launched with insurance in 2019 and have expanded to loan refinancing, vehicle diagnostics, a GenAI chatbot, and more, serving over 5M customers with $240M in funding and 225 employees across six countries.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end close and reporting for revenue accounts.
• Interpret new accounting pronouncements and prepare technical accounting memos for significant transactions.
• Review junior staff work and provide coaching and mentorship.
• Develop best‑in‑class processes for various accounting and financial operations areas.
• Collaborate with data and engineering to enhance data quality and streamline revenue reporting from multiple systems.
• Support external auditors for audit and SOX compliance activities.
• Lead special projects such as ERP optimization, internal control development, and IPO readiness.

Ideal Profile

• CPA, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Background in a Big 4 or high‑growth tech company preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350‑40.
• Comfort with high transaction volume and data complexity.
• Strong systems mindset – experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and revenue tools.
• Tech forward – desire to use AI and latest technologies to build scalable operations.
• Roll‑up‑the‑sleeves can do attitude.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills working cross‑functionally.
