Forklift Operator – Ryder Supply Chain Solutions

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is immediately hiring temp‑to‑hire Warehouse Forklift Operators in Lafayette, Indiana. We’re looking for a reliable, safety‑mindful driver to join our team in the safest supply chain environment, working with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $17.25 per hour
• Shift Premium: $0.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:25 pm – 1:00 am

Products & Equipment

• Products Handled: Automotive parts and items
• Equipment: Sit‑down forklift & RF scanner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse workplace
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with a good attendance record
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work flexible schedules across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products and load/unload trucks
• Maintain day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
• Perform additional duties as assigned
